Artist's Statement
Deirdre O'Byrne was born in Dublin, Ireland where she later attended the National College of Art & Design. She graduated with an honers degree in Visual Communication and accepted her first full time job as an Illustrator for Pat McIntyre & Associates in Dublin.
O'Byrnes passion is drawing and painting portraits of people, pets and wildlife.
Her two choices of style for the animal portraits are either realism or vibrant unusual color schemes. O'Byrne really captures the true nature and essence of her subject.
